Tammy's Yummy Cheddar Biscuits

Tammy's Yummy Cheddar Biscuits

3 C. whole wheat pastry flour

1 tbs kosher salt

1/2 tsp. baking soda

2 tsp. baking powder

2/3 C soften unsalted butter

1 1/8 C milk

1/2 C. heaped of shredded cheddar cheese.

Preheat the oven to 400*F

put all ingredients except milk in mixing bowl and mix well then add milk and until mixing until well mixed and dump onto a lightly floured surface. Knead 3 to 5 minutes and then roll out with rolling pin to 1/2" thick and cut with biscuit cutter and place on un greased cookie sheet bake 12 to 14 minutes or until golden brown.


1/4 C unsalted butter

1/8 tsp minced garlic

A few minutes before the biscuits are done put the butter and garlic in a small saucepan and melt, brush on top of finished biscuits.Let stand 1 mintue then serve.

These are very good,I make them often when I make soups and such. My family loves them.
