Spring Cleaning is right around the corner. I know it's still a bit early but now is the time to get your plan down. Get a list made out of what you want to get accomplished, seeing your goals on paper will make them easier to 1. remember when the time comes and 2 achieve them.
While your making your list of things that need to be done and that you want to get done don't forget to update your inventory of cleaning products. There will be a lot more sales and coupons for cleaning products coming up so take advantage of them and get your stock pile up and then when fall cleaning roles around you will be sailing smooth.
Go from room to room and make a list of the things that need to be done in each room. Give a separate sheet of paper for each room, label it at the top and get picky. Go as detailed as you can on this. Spring cleaning is out with the old and in with the new so why not take this opportunity to say out with my old way of keeping my home and in with my new way. Take pride in your home, you don't have to be over the top but take pride in it not being cluttered up and smelling nice and looking organized and clean. When someone walks into your home you want them to feel welcomed not like your trying to rush them out the door for fear of seeing how messy or un kept your home is.
If you are like me and your home is in the remodeling phase (mine seems to be endless) then there are things you can't do but there are still a lot of things that you can do,like going through your things, remember the decluttering steps, cleaning out things that you have neglected all year. Clean the windows to let some light in. Wash the curtains or have them cleaned, steam clean the carpet or have it done.
Now once you get the inside lists done (remember go very detailed),then lets go outside and start a list for outside things, does the patio furniture need washed, the gutters, the siding does it need washed, what about the deck (if you have one) does it need cleaned and maybe weather proofed.
What about your landscaping? Is there any? If so how does it look? Is it cleaned out of weeds? If there isn't any,do you want to add this. Just a little will make your home look so much more inviting and add to the value of it as well.
Take your time in doing the lists. You don't need to get it all done in one day,as a matter of fact if your are doing a very detailed list it should take you a couple days if not longer.
There's plenty to do,just make your mind up right now that this is the year that you are going to stop wanting a cleaned and organized home and make this the year that you do it!
God Bless,
