What does your home say about you?

Let's pretend for a moment that you are a guest in your home. Go to the front door,no lets step out to the front porch or stoop. What does the front of your house say to your guests,is it warm and inviting,is it clutter free,is it clean? Step inside now what does your entry way say,are the floors clean of mud and dirt, are the shoes, coats and odds and ends put up where they belong.

I like to do this from time to time, one sure fire way to see your home through someone Else's eyes is to take pictures and then put them on your computer and enlarge them to full screen. Trust me you will see things in those pictures that you miss with your eyes.

Whether you like it or not your home is a reflection of you. If it's full of clutter and disarray, chances are your life is too, including your finances. As crazy as that may sound it's true. If your home is organized, clean and welcoming then you are more welcome to visitors, you know where all your stuff is that and that includes your bills so they are paid on time. There's a fine line between organization and disarray and being to organized. You don't want to be so organized that you come off as stuffy and uptight, that your family and friends don't want to come to visit your home for fear of messing up something. How are we as women in Christ going to do what the bible tells us to if our home is not inviting to others. What are we teaching our daughters if we are over the top either way?

Take the time to really look at your home. Is it how you want it to look? If not start getting it there. Small steps make great strides when you keep moving.
