Friday's Cleaning

The focus of today is the laundry room and vehicle. If you have a hall way or other area that hasn't been listed on this schedule you can add it here as well.

Tools needed for today:

broom and dustpan
3 cleaning rags
paper towels
window cleaner
vacuum
car cleaner
2 trash bags
wood cleaner
bleach/water solution

Lets get that laundry room cleaned up quickly before heading for the vehicle.

First thing is to make sure the laundry is all done and out of the way. This makes it much easier to move quickly and get the room/area done.

Go through and throw out all empty containers. If you are cleaning the cabinets then go ahead and wipe those down quickly. Also don't forget to clean the vents inside and out. And once every 3 to 6 months make a note to vacuum all the lint from the back of the dryer, you'll have to take the back of it off but that's simple to do,you'll be surprised of all the lint there. It's a fire hazard as well as a waste of energy making your dryer work harder than it needs to. If your washer has a cleaning cycle get in the habit of running it through monthly,if not wipe it out with a bit of bleach/water solution and a paper towel. Don't forget the outside of your washer and dryer wipe it down. Wipe the doors, knobs and switch plates every 2 to 3 weeks. Sweep, empty the trash and re bag the can and then mop. There ya go your done with that part.

Now for the vehicle(s)

Make sure all trash and things that don't belong in a car are taken out. Take out the mats and set them aside. Get your window cleaner and paper towels and clean the windows (if you want to do that outsides of them then go ahead and do it then do the inside), get your car cleaner solution and a cleaning rag and clean the dash and any other areas that need it. Now vacuum the floor and if you have fabric seats vacuum them too. Make sure you get under the seats and the crevices between the seats. That's it ladies now your done.

Friday's is also the day I set aside for desk work. I balance our accounts and work on our budget and pay bills this day. Friday's may not work for you but I suggest that you find a day of the week that does if your husband prefers for you to handle this kind of thing. It makes it much easier to stay on top of things.

God Bless,
Tammy
